On October 9 2024, the Poznan University of Technology inaugurated the 105th anniversary of Polish higher technical education in Poznan.

During the ceremonial inauguration, we began the New Academic Year, and at the site of the New Rectorate, we signed and laid the Foundation Act.

The guest of honor at the event was the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education - prof. Maria Mrówczyńska.

On site, one could admire photos illustrating the individual stages of the creation of the New Rectorate.

The construction is being carried out by Mostostal Warszawa S.A.

After short speeches by the Minister, President of Mostostal Warszawa Jorge Calabuig Ferre and Rector of the Poznan University of Technology prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the Chancellor of the Poznan University of Technology Łukasz Kalupa read the Foundation Act.

The foundation act was laid after the consecration by Grzegorz Balcerek - Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Poznan.

The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone was performed by: prof. Teofil Jesionowski, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education - prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, Senator Waldemar Witkowski, President of Mostostal Warszawa - Jorge Calabuig Ferre, Chairwoman of the University Council - Jolanta Musielak, prof. Tomasz Łodygowski (Rector of Poznan University of Technology in the years 2012-2020), prof. Adam Hamrol (Rector of Poznan University of Technology in the years 2005-2012), prof. Sławomir Rosolski - chief designer of the building, Łukasz Kalupa - Chancellor of the Poznan University of Technology.

The agreement for the implementation of the project was signed on September 28, 2023 between prof. Teofil Jesionowski – Rector of the Poznan
