CONFERENCE OF VICE-RECTORS FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

On June 6 at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, during the meeting of the Vice-Rectors for Research and Development of public technical universities, an agreement was signed on cooperation of Polish technical universities in the field of project management - Technical Universities Project Management Offices Forum [TUPMO Forum].

20 technical universities signed the agreement. The partners declared their willingness to cooperate in project management.

The principal obligations outlined in the Agreement are:

  • mutual cooperation in the field of projects application;
  • exchange of information and experience on ongoing and planned projects;
  • presenting a common position on competitions and programs financing/co-financing projects for Polish technical universities;
  • common strategies for applying for external funds;
  • improving the qualifications of employees of partnering universities in the area of project management, e.g. through joint training, and workshops;
  • exchange of knowledge, e.g. through conferences, meetings, and workshops;
  • exchange of experience regarding the application, implementation and realization of projects;
  • exchange of information and solving current issues related to the project activities of the partners of the agreement.

During the first meeting of TUPMO Forum representatives in Krakow, prof. Waldemar Dzienisz was elected the chairman of the Steering Committee, thus the first leader of the Forum became the Gdansk University of Technology.
