4.5 million for PUT to carry out basic research

Four projects from Poznan University of Technology (PUT) have been selected for funding under the SONATA call organized by the National Science Centre:

  • “SWIFT – In-depth investigation of the sustainable conversion of organic waste fractions to bio-oils using bacterial-yeast microbiome fermentation technology”
    – Anna Duber, PhD  Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy
  • “Phytocompounds as inhibitors of photo- and thermo-oxidation of polylactide”
    – Aleksander Hejna, PhD Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin
  • “Proper metrological control of smart electricity meters”
    – Piotr Kuwałek, PhD, Faculty of Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering
  • “Control of mechanical systems based on static and dynamic feedback linearization”
    – Marcin Nowicki, PhD, Faculty of Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering

The goal of the SONATA 20 competition is to support early-career researchers in conducting innovative research. The call was addressed to scientists who had obtained their doctoral degrees between 2 and 7 years prior to the application year.

The success rate for PUT in the SONATA 20 competition was approximately 26.6%.
