Chemical Technology Student Receives Recognition in the Golden Medal of Chemistry 2025 Competition

Eng. Xymena Anna Gross received a Special Award from DuPont in the Golden Medal of Chemistry 2025 competition for her engineering thesis entitled “Electrochemical Properties of Lignin and Its Derivatives.” The thesis was supervised by Dr. Beata Kurc. 

The Golden Medal of Chemistry competition recognizes the best bachelor's and engineering theses in chemistry and interdisciplinary fields at the interface of chemistry with other sciences. It is organized by the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IChF PAN) in cooperation with DuPont. The competition is held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Chemical Society, the Committee on Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Foundation for Polish Science. 

Congratulations to Xymena Anna Gross and Dr. Beata Kurc on this outstanding achievement, which highlights the high quality of research conducted at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and contributes to the promotion of excellence in chemical sciences.
