In April 2025, the ESA Spaceship Poland team participated in the Spaceships Workshops — a meeting of the European hubs of the ESA Spaceship programme held at ECSAT (European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications), located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in the United Kingdom.

Four ESA hubs took part in the event: Spaceship France, Spaceship ECSAT, Spaceship EAC and Spaceship Poland. The workshops provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, present activities carried out to date, and jointly plan further cooperation in the field of space innovation and technology transfer.

During the visit, the team toured the Vulcan Facility at ECSAT, which serves as a geological repository and analytical laboratory for the study of analogue samples, as well as the Oxford Robotics Institute — one of the leading research centres in the field of practical applications of artificial intelligence and mobile robotics.

Participation in the workshops is an important element in building networks and developing expertise within the international space innovation community, while also strengthening Poznan University of Technology's position as an active participant in the European space technology ecosystem. Poznan University of Technology was represented by Krzysztof Walas, PhD and Bartosz Ptak, PhD, together with the team from the second edition of ESA Spaceship Poland.
