Aleksandra Makiej from Poznan University of Technology Wins the Final of the EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup!

On April 25, 2025, under the sunny skies of Finland, the final of the international EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup – a startup idea competition – took place at the welcoming University of Vaasa (UVA). The competition gave students and doctoral candidates from eight partner universities (IPV, KAU, PUT, UC, UMONS, UNICT, UPHF, UVA) the opportunity to present their business ideas to an international jury.

Poznan University of Technology was proudly represented by Aleksandra Makiej, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Chemical Technology at PUT, supported by Magdalena Regel-Rosocka (EUNICE representative at PUT) and Dominika Seifert-Łatka from the Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator at PUT.

Among the presented projects were highly original and thematically diverse ideas, addressing current societal and technological challenges. After hearing the final presentations and engaging in discussions with the startup authors, the competition jury selected the winners.

We are proud to announce that 1st place was awarded to our university’s representative – Aleksandra Makiej – congratulations! This means that next year Poznan University of Technology will host the international final of the competition and welcome teams from the EUNICE partner universities.
