On October 10-11, 2024, the SkillsPoland 2024 Electronics competition was held at the Faculty Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology. The main organizer of the competition was Arkadiusz Hulewicz, PhD.
The competition tasks were carried out in the laboratory rooms of the Department of Metrology, Electronics and Lighting Technology. 12 persons participated in the competition, selected from 20 persons who entered the pre-eliminations, they were high school students and students from Poznan, Radom, Rzeszow, and Kraków. During the competition, the participants solved 3 tasks in the field of designing an electronic system and a PCB, assembling, starting and testing an electronic system, and programming and starting a microprocessor system. The tasks were assessed by the Expert Jury composed of: chairman Arkadiusz Hulewicz (Poznan University of Technology) and members Michał Bołtrukiewicz (Poznan University of Technology), Zbigniew Krawiecki (Poznan University of Technology), Dariusz Prokop (Poznan University of Technology).
The winner was Marcel Kwaśniewski from the Hipolit Cegielski Communication School Complex in Poznan.
The competition ended with an awards ceremony, during which the Poznan University of Technology was represented by Vice-Rector, Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering prof. Stefan Brock. During the gala, the relevant certificates were received by Vice-Rector, Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski and Arkadiusz Hulewicz, PhD for taking first place, and Jakub Drankiewicz and Wojciech Kołodziej from the Poznan University of Technology for taking second and third place, respectively. In addition, all participants received gifts funded by the authorities of the Poznan University of Technology and the Faculty of Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering, Enea Operator and Merazet.
The winner of the competition will represent Poland at the EuroSkills 2024 competition, which will take place from 9 to 13 September 2025 in Herning, Denmark. During this competition, representatives from 32 European countries will compete in 40 different competitions.
