FISA – EURADWASTE 2025 & SNETP 2025

From May 12 to 16, 2025, the international conference FISA – EURADWASTE 2025 & SNETP 2025 took place in Warsaw, focusing on the future of nuclear energy in Europe. The event brought together over 500 participants from Europe and beyond, making it one of the most important nuclear sector meetings of the year.

The conference was organized on the occasion of Poland’s Presidency of the European Union, and its agenda covered key topics including the safety of nuclear reactor systems (FISA – Fission Safety of Reactor Systems), radioactive waste management (EURADWASTE – Radioactive Waste Management), and the sustainable development of nuclear energy technologies (SNETP – Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform).

The event was organized by the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) and the European Nuclear Society (ENS), in cooperation with the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Świerk and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Poland.

Poznan University of Technology was represented by Prof. Janusz Wojtkowiak, Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Energy, who actively participated in the sessions and discussion panels, presenting the university's contribution to the development of nuclear energy in Poland.
