On March 6, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture at Poznan University of Technology hosted a meeting of the Forum of Deans of Faculties of Architecture in Poland.
The event was attended by deans, vice-deans, discipline heads, and directors of academic units offering programs in Architecture and Architecture & Urban Planning across Poland. Since its founding in 2019, the Forum of Deans has met regularly to develop unified positions and support each other in both education and scientific research.

The meeting was opened by the Rector of Poznan University of Technology, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski who presented perspectives on possible changes in Polish science. During the session, discussions focused on key issues in the field of architecture and urban planning, including educational standards for the architectural profession, evaluation of scientific and creative achievements, and research funding. Participants continued working on shared documents and exchanged insights from the diverse experiences of their academic institutions.

During the meeting, the attendees also decided to establish an association called “Academic Forum of Architecture and Urban Planning.”

The program included a tour of the WAWIZ building, including laboratories and technical facilities, led by the building’s designer, Prof. Sławomir Rosolski.
