On 15th of October 2024, Prof. Salvatore Greco, a leading expert in the field of intelligent decision support systems at the Department of Economics and Business at the University of Catania, joined the group of individuals honoured with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Poznań University of Technology. This is the 45th honorary doctorate awarded by our university in its more than 100-year history.
The laudatio dedicated to the laureate was delivered by Prof. Roman Słowiński.
The reviewers of the honorary doctorate were: Prof. Aleksander Byrski from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Prof. Bogumił Kamiński from the AI Lab of the Intercollegiate Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Platforms at the Warsaw School of Economics, and Prof. Janusz Kacprzyk from the Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Salvatore Greco has been collaborating for over 30 years with computer scientists at the Poznan University of Technology, particularly with the team led by Prof. Roman Słowiński, with whom he has co-authored more than 250 scientific publications.
"Scopus reports that Salvatore Greco is the author of 273 publications, which have been cited 12,286 times in total, and his Hirsch index (h-index) is 59. Google Scholar reports a total of 29,136 citations and an h-index of 79. Salvatore Greco has been listed in the global Top 2% of scientists, published by Stanford University since the first edition in 2019."
