Rectors Sign Key Agreements at the Meeting of the College of Rectors of the City of Poznan
On 26 January 2026, the Poznan University of Economics and Business hosted the latest meeting of the College of Rectors of the City of Poznan (KRMP). The meeting was chaired by Professor Teofil Jesionowski, Rector of Poznan University of Technology, and concluded with the signing of two important agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation among the city's higher education institutions.
The signed agreements launch a joint research project on employee well-being and establish a mobility programme for doctoral students.
Joining Forces to Combat Academic Burnout
In March, an inter-university research project entitled "Burnout and Well-being in the Academic Environment" will begin. The initiative will bring together researchers from Poznań's higher education institutions to conduct joint research, exchange knowledge, and develop practical solutions that promote well-being across the academic community.
The project will be carried out by an Inter-University Research Team, led by the Poznan University of Economics and Business. The project coordinator is Professor Anna Wach, Director of the University's Centre for Academic Teaching Excellence.
The planned activities include:
- educational initiatives and burnout prevention programmes,
- organization of scientific conferences,
- publication and dissemination of research findings within the academic community.
PoDEST – A New Mobility Programme for Doctoral Students
Another major outcome of the meeting was the launch of the PoDEST mobility programme. The agreement was signed by the member universities of the College of Rectors together with five institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS):
- Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry,
- Institute of Dendrology,
- Institute of Molecular Physics,
- Institute of Human Genetics,
- Institute of Plant Genetics.
The programme will enable doctoral students to attend courses and academic activities at partner universities or PAS institutes outside their home institution, beginning in the 2025/2026 academic year.
PoDEST is modelled on the POMOST programme, which has successfully supported student mobility among Poznan’s universities since 2024. Detailed participation rules are available on the websites of the partner institutions.
