In the latest edition of the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025 (GRAS 2025), Poznan University of Technology has been ranked among the top universities worldwide in the Mechanical Engineering discipline, placed in the 301–400 range, and is one of only three Polish universities recognized in this category.

The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, prepared by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, evaluates universities’ achievements in specific academic fields. The ranking methodology takes into account, among other factors, the high quality of scientific research and international research collaboration.
