A new step towards internationalisation. The Faculty of Engineering Management awarded an Erasmus Mundus Design Measures grant.

A team led by Joanna Olesków-Szłapka, PhD from the Faculty of Engineering Management has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Design Measures programme.

As part of the project, Poznań University of Technology will join forces with leading European academic institutions: the University of Maribor (Slovenia), the Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy), the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau (Germany), to jointly develop a new programme framework, recruitment procedures and rules for awarding a joint Master’s degree.

The aim of the “European Master in Resilient & Intelligent Logistics” (EM-RESILOG), which supports the objectives of the European Green Deal, the Digital Decade and Industry 5.0, is to create a modern curriculum that will attract outstanding students from around the world, respond to the rapidly changing needs of the global labour market and fill one of the key skills gaps in Europe: the lack of specialists capable of designing and managing logistics systems as intelligent, sustainable, resilient and people-centred socio-technical systems.

Work on preparing the new degree programme will begin this autumn. The next step will be to apply for a full Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters grant, which will enable the programme to open for applications and fund scholarships for the most talented students from around the world.
