Nuclear Energy Forum at Poznan University of Technology

On November 27, 2025, the Nuclear Energy Forum was held at the Lecture Centre of Poznan University of Technology. The event was part of a project implemented under an agreement with the Department of Nuclear Energy of the Ministry of Energy. 

The forum was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of Poznan University of Technology, the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region, the Mayor of Poznan, and the President of the Board of Polish Nuclear Power Plants. Guests included representatives from the Ministry of Energy, National Centre for Nuclear Research, State Atomic Energy Agency, Office of Technical Inspection, Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region, Polish Nuclear Power Plants Company, Veolia Energia Poznan, Poznan Science and Technology Park, and the “Wielkopolski Atom” Association.

The forum opened with a plenary lecture titled: “My Life-Long Date with the Atom Is Not a Blind Date”.

The event concluded with a panel debate on the role of small modular reactors (SMRs) in the energy transition in Poland and worldwide.

The forum attracted great interest from both university staff and students, and there are plans for its continuation in future editions.
