Poznan University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with Koleje Wielkopolskie

On January 21, 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Poznan University of Technology, represented by the Rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, and Koleje Wielkopolskie  represented by the President of the Management Board Marek Nitkowski and Member of the Management Board Mikołaj Grzyb.

The main objectives of the agreement include:

  • joint research and implementation of development projects,
  • exchange of knowledge and experience between employees of both institutions,
  • cooperation in the field of improving educational programs and implementing diploma theses in cooperation with Koleje Wielkopolskie,
  • organization of joint conferences, seminars, trainings and other events promoting innovative technical solutions.

Both parties also declared the exchange of experiences in the area of ​​using their research and production facilities, which will contribute to the development of new technologies and increase the quality and diversity of the educational offer of the Poznan University of Technology.

Cooperation with the Poznan University of Technology will allow our Company to develop even faster. This is the next stage of cooperation that will bring many benefits both to Koleje Wielkopolskie and the academic community - said Marek Nitkowski, President of the Management Board of Koleje Wielkopolskie.

Poznan University of Technology educates specialists who can be recruited by Koleje Wielkopolskie. Moreover, thanks to the cooperation, it will be possible to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the railway industry - said Mikołaj Grzyb, Member of the Management Board of Koleje Wielkopolskie.

The company is developing cooperation with universities and secondary schools, currently, Koleje Wielkopolskie cooperates with, among others, the Hipolit Cegielski School Complex in Poznan. Poznan University of Technology, on the other hand, aims to intensify cooperation with economic entities, which contributes to the development of both universities and enterprises with which partnerships are established.
