Poznan University of Technology at NAFSA 2026 in Orlando

From 26 to 29 May 2026, representatives of Poznan University of Technology participated in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo in Orlando, USA, one of the world's leading events dedicated to the internationalization of higher education and academic cooperation.

The conference brought together hundreds of representatives of universities, educational organizations, and institutions supporting academic mobility from around the globe. It provided an excellent opportunity to promote Poznan University of Technology, exchange experiences, and establish new contacts with partners from various regions of the world.

Poznan University of Technology was part of the Polish national delegation organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), which coordinated the joint Polish higher education stand during the exhibition accompanying the conference.

The University was represented by members of the International Relations Office: Lidia Zawal, responsible for Erasmus+ KA171 activities, and Kateryna Suprun, responsible for the recruitment process of full-time international students.

As part of the national “Study & Research in Poland” stand, Polish universities promoted their educational and research offer as well as opportunities for cooperation with the Polish academic community. The participation of PUT representatives was made possible through the implementation of the project “PUT. Open Doors. Open Minds.”, carried out by Poznan University of Technology with the support of NAWA under the “Welcome to Poland” programme, financed by the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 (FERS).

Participation in NAFSA 2026 enabled Poznan University of Technology to actively engage in international discussions on the future of higher education and to strengthen relationships with partners worldwide. Numerous meetings were held with representatives of foreign universities and institutions, creating opportunities to exchange experiences and discuss prospects for future cooperation.

Events such as NAFSA play a vital role in the internationalization of universities. They not only provide a platform for showcasing institutional achievements and potential on the global stage but also help develop relationships that may lead to new partnerships, joint projects, and additional mobility opportunities for students and staff in the future.
