The latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 has been published, showcasing the world's leading universities across 55 academic disciplines, grouped into five broad subject areas: Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and Management.
Poznan University of Technology has maintained its position in the Engineering & Technology subject area, remaining one of only eight Polish universities recognised in this category.
This year's ranking also brought notable improvements for the University. Poznan University of Technology advanced in two engineering disciplines:
- Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Compared to the previous edition, the University achieved higher overall scores and was ranked in two additional disciplines: Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, the latter within the Natural Sciences subject area.
In total, Poznan University of Technology is ranked in six disciplines in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026:
- Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering – 251–300
- Chemical Engineering – 401–450
- Electrical & Electronic Engineering – 401–450
- Materials Science – 401–550
- Chemistry – 601–700
- Computer Science and Information Systems – 701–750
These results reflect the University's continued commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation, while reinforcing its strong international reputation in engineering, technology, and the natural sciences.
