The European Commission has awarded funding to the PRIME project, submitted under the Horizon Europe programme (HORIZON-RIA action, topic HORIZON-CL4-2026-04-DIGITAL-EMERGING-08), in which Poznan University of Technology is a partner. The project is coordinated by the Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia. The total funding amounts to EUR 17,999,590, of which EUR 180,250 is allocated to PUT. The head of the Poznań University of Technology research team will be Prof. Dominik Belter (Faculty of Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering).

PRIME addresses the need to accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled robotics in European manufacturing by focusing on the development, benchmarking and industrial validation of advanced robotic skills based on foundation models. PRIME proposes a qualification-driven approach centred on the definition and validation of modular, transferable skills aligned with the Robotics Skills Qualification and Certification (RSQC) framework.

The project brings together leading RTOs, industrial and ecosystem partners, forming a complementary consortium that spans the full value chain, from skills development and benchmarking to industrial validation and deployment, ensuring solutions are aligned with real needs and ready for large-scale adoption.
