Poznan University of Technology Student Michalina Miller Recognised in the AVEVA Process Simulation Competition

Michalina Miller, a student at Poznan University of Technology and a member of the Chemical Engineering Student Research Group, took second place in the AVEVA Process Simulation Academic Competition 2026 Europe.

Her project focused on the application of machine learning methods in process simulation and the use of modern tools supporting the development of digital twin concepts in the chemical industry.

This achievement demonstrates the high level of expertise of students actively involved in research and their ability to apply advanced engineering software used in modern industry to real-world challenges.

The Chemical Engineering Student Research Group is supervised by prof. Szymon Woziwodzki, , and Piotr Mitkowski, PhD.

Other members of the Student Research Group also participated in the competition, gaining valuable project experience and the opportunity to engage with real-world industrial challenges.
