Poznan University of Technology at Workshops under the “Study in Poznan” Initiative

On March 4, the Department of City Development and International Cooperation of the Poznan City Hall organized a workshop as part of the “Study in Poznan” initiative.

The aim of the meeting was to develop a joint strategy for promoting universities in Poznan, to attract a greater number of prospective international students. The workshop brought together representatives from international cooperation offices, welcome centres, and marketing departments of both public and private universities.

Experts in the field of internationalisation of higher education focused on various forms of promotion—direct, institutional, and online. Participants exchanged experiences and ideas, working together to create the most effective possible strategy.

Poznan University of Technology was represented by Olha Vakhrina and Kateryna Suprun from the International Relations Office. The workshop format of the meeting facilitated the exchange of best practices and ideas, which led to the development of several practical and innovative solutions. Their implementation may significantly enhance Poznan’s appeal as an academic hub, attracting more talented students from abroad.

Future meetings will be dedicated to detailed analysis and refinement of the proposed concepts, with the aim of developing a comprehensive project to be carried out through cooperation between the city and Poznan’s universities.

We sincerely thank the Directorate of the Department of City Development and International Cooperation for the initiative and for creating a space for meaningful dialogue among professionals in the field of international cooperation. We are confident that this partnership will result in the implementation of an effective promotional strategy that will increase the number of international students and strengthen Poznan’s position as a key academic centre on the international stage.
