On July 1, 2025, Poznan University of Technology joined a group of ten universities that signed a cooperation agreement with Energa-Operator S.A.
The aim of the alliance is joint action to educate future professionals and develop the technical competencies necessary for the energy and digital transformation of the Polish power sector.
The agreement expresses the intention for close cooperation between the academic sector and the energy industry in key areas such as:
- network asset management,
- energy transition,
- data analysis,
- development of IT and ICT systems,
- cybersecurity.
On behalf of Poznan University of Technology, the agreement was signed by Assoc. Prof. Arkadiusz Ptak – Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.
Joint activities within the alliance will include, among others:
- organization of student internships and placements,
- joint development of curricula and review of study pathways,
- cooperation in the preparation of diploma, doctoral, and habilitation theses,
- participation in job fairs and events promoting careers in the energy sector.
The establishment of the alliance is part of a broader program “Energy for Science. Science for Energy” carried out by Energa-Operator S.A., whose goal is long-term development of human resources for the energy sector in response to challenges related to digitalisation, automation, and climate transformation.
This cooperation represents an important step toward a modern, integrated model of education that meets the real needs of the labor market and contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of Polish technical universities as well as the dynamic development of future-oriented skills among students and graduates.
