PUT and Poznan University of Medical Sciences Establish Cooperation for the Development of Healthcare Infrastructure

On March 27, 2025, Poznan University of Technology and the Karol Marcinkowski Poznan University of Medical Sciences signed a letter of intent.

During the “New Challenges in Healthcare” conference organised by the Faculty of Architecture, Poznan University of Technology and the Karol Marcinkowski Poznan University of Medical Sciences, a letter of intent was signed, marking the beginning of collaborative efforts in the fields of scientific research, innovative R&D projects, and the modernisation of healthcare infrastructure.

The cooperation between the two universities will focus on developing national standards for medical architecture, integrating scientific communities, and analysing and optimizing the functional design of medical facilities. The goal is to create modern, efficient, and patient-centred healthcare spaces.

A key element of the partnership will be an audit of medical infrastructure, enabling a comprehensive inventory and assessment. This will support the development of tools to aid investment decision-making in the healthcare sector.

The signed letter of intent is the first step toward long-term cooperation, with specific agreements to be established in subsequent stages. This initiative is yet another example of Poznan University of Technology’s commitment to interdisciplinary projects that combine advanced technologies with real societal needs.
