The award ceremony took place on 12 December 2025 in Room 2318 of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. The event was attended by members of Division IV of the Polish Academy of Sciences, representatives of the PAS authorities, as well as invited guests, including the award recipients' academic supervisors, colleagues, and family members.

Dr. Kuwałek received the award for developing a novel solution that significantly improves the effectiveness of voltage fluctuation diagnostics in modern power systems, where voltage fluctuations and waveform distortions commonly occur simultaneously. The award also recognized his complementary research on the current infrastructure of smart electricity meters, assessing their capability to implement the proposed diagnostic approach in practice.
