In the latest edition of the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2026, Poznan University of Technology was ranked 1,144th among the world's leading universities.

Compared to the previous edition, this represents a significant improvement, with the University moving up from 1,260th place.

The SCImago Institutions Rankings evaluate universities and research institutions based on performance in three main areas: research performance (50%), innovation (30%), and societal impact (20%). Poznan University of Technology improved its position in the Innovation category and now ranks 8th among universities in Poland.

Poznan University of Technology was also included in the subject area rankings and is among the Top 3 Polish universities in two disciplines: Aerospace Engineering and Automotive Engineering.
