The past gliding season was hectic and full of emotions. After months of preparation, our representatives faced demanding training sessions to compete with the best pilots in Poland and abroad.

The Academic Aviation Club of Poznan University of Technology was represented by:

• Julia Wałowska – Faculty of Automation, Robotics and Electrical Engineering – Standard and Club A classes
• Mikołaj Lewandowski – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Standard and Club A classes
• Michał Kaczmarek – Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering – Standard class
• Michał Stasiewicz – Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications – Club B class

We participated in five key events of the season:

• Slovak Junior Gliding Championships – Martin (Slovakia), April 28–May 7, 2025 – Julia Wałowska – 2nd place in Club A class
• European Junior Gliding Championships – Prievidza (Slovakia), July 5–19, 2025
• Women’s World Gliding Championships – Zbraslavice (Czech Republic), July 26–August 9, 2025 – Julia Wałowska – World Vice Champion in Club A class
• Stefan Grzeszczyk National Gliding Competition – Grudziądz, August 2–10, 2025 – Mikołaj Lewandowski – 4th place
• Polish Junior Gliding Championships – Michałków/Ostrów Wielkopolski, August 13–24, 2025 – Mikołaj Lewandowski – 4th place

The Polish Junior Gliding Championships marked the end of the season and proved to be an exceptionally demanding test. Over 10 days, as many as 9 competition tasks were completed. Unstable weather conditions, high temperatures, and a strong field of competitors made each flight a true challenge requiring maximum focus.

This year brought us not only excellent results but also valuable experience that will surely pay off in future competitions.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Poznan University of Technology for its support, which enabled us to represent the university with pride in such prestigious events.
