Success in MSCA Doctoral Networks 2024, Horizon Europe

The European Commission has announced the results of the MSCA Doctoral Networks 2024 competition under Horizon Europe.
Among the selected projects is “GreenFieldData – IoRT Data Management and Analysis for Sustainable Agriculture”. The project addresses the challenges outlined in the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan for 2025–2027 and the European Partnership "Agriculture of Data". Its main goal is to develop methods for collecting and analysing data from robotic devices (the Internet of Robotic Things) in smart agriculture applications. These goals will be achieved through 14 doctoral theses within a dual-degree framework.

The project consortium consists of 11 institutions from France, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Belgium, Ireland, and Portugal. Additionally, the consortium is supported by 28 associated partners from a total of 7 countries. The project is planned to run for 5 years.

Researchers from Poznan University of Technology will be responsible for two research areas:

  1. Machine learning, computer vision, and robotic technologies – led by Prof. Piotr Skrzypczyński, Faculty of Automation, Robotics and Electrical Engineering.
  2. Data integration technologies, data quality, data storage systems, and data analysis – led by Prof. Robert Wrembel, Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications, who is also the project coordinator at PUT.
