On 23 October 2025, Poznan University of Technology hosted a delegation from Bursa Technical University (BTU) in Turkey. The delegation included the Rector, Prof. Dr. Naci ÇAĞLAR, and Vice-Rectors Prof. Sinan UYANIK and Prof. Barış TONGUÇ.
On behalf of Poznan University of Technology, the delegation was received by the Rector of Poznan University of Technology, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, and the Head of the International Cooperation Office, Magdalena Zawirska-Wolniewicz.
The visit followed a meeting organized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Ankara on 22 September 2025, attended by representatives of Polish and Turkish universities. The event was co-organized by the Perspektywy Foundation as part of the Study in Poland program.
Inspired by the presentation delivered by Poznan University of Technology during the event at Gazi University, the delegation from Bursa Technical University expressed strong interest in deepening academic and research cooperation.
During the meeting in Poznan, a wide range of collaboration opportunities was discussed, including Erasmus+ KA131 and KA2 programs, as well as potential partnerships within Horizon Europe projects. The parties also discussed joint scientific publications and the possibility of co-supervision of doctoral dissertations.
The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Poznan University of Technology and Bursa Technical University, marking the beginning of a new stage of cooperation between the two institutions.
Following the official meeting, the guests had the opportunity to visit the Warta Campus, which made a very positive impression on them.
The visit represented an important step in strengthening academic relations and developing cooperation between Poznan University of Technology and Bursa Technical University, as well as more broadly between universities in Poland and Turkey.
