Visit of a Delegation from Taiyuan University of Technology to Poznan University of Technology

On November 24, 2025, Poznan University of Technology hosted a delegation from Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT), consisting of:

  • Prof. Yifei Sun, Dean of the College of Civil Engineering
  • Prof. Xiaoqiang Dong, Dean of the Graduate School
  • Mr. Zhi Li, Officer of the College of International Education and Exchange

On behalf of Poznan University of Technology, the delegation was welcomed by Rector Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Wojciech Sumelka, and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, along with representatives from relevant faculties. The visit aimed to present key research areas of both universities, exchange experiences, and discuss prospects for scientific and educational cooperation.

During the presentation sessions, Poznan University of Technology representatives highlighted the university’s main development directions in robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, materials engineering, chemical technology, and infrastructure and mobility. The TYUT delegation presented their university’s scientific profile, including doctoral education and research in sustainable construction.

The visit also included a ceremony for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, as well as an agreement on double doctoral degree programs, paving the way for closer cooperation and the development of joint research projects.

After the official part of the visit, the guests toured selected laboratories at Poznan University of Technology, learning about ongoing research, modern infrastructure, and opportunities for joint scientific and technological initiatives.

The meeting marked an important step toward developing academic relations and building long-term collaboration between Poznan University of Technology and Taiyuan University of Technology.
