PUT GRADUATES AND PHD STUDENTS AMONG THOSE AWARDED BY THE CITY OF POZNAN

Awards in this year's competition "Award of the City of Poznan for an outstanding doctoral thesis" and "Award of the City of Poznan for an outstanding master's thesis" were given to Artur Jędrzak, Agnieszka Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz, Piotr Kuwałek, Piotr Jaworski, Marita Pigłowska, Jakub Raczyński.

Six authors of theses defended at the Poznan University of Technology were among the awarded and distinguished:

Doctoral thesis entitled: "Hybrid micro- and nanoplatforms for biosensors and medicine", written by Artur Jędrzak under the supervision of prof. Teofil Jesionowski and prof. Radosław Mrówczyński – an award.

Doctoral thesis entitled: "The impact of large-format commercial facilities on the spatial and functional structure of the city", written by Agnieszka Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz under the supervision of prof. Wojciech Bonenberg, assistant supervisor: prof. Hanna Michalak – a distinction.

Doctoral thesis entitled: "Diagnostics of voltage fluctuations aimed at identifying and locating nuisance receivers in power grids", written by Piotr Kuwałek under the supervision of prof. Grzegorz Wiczyński – a distinction.

Master's thesis: "Optimization of the location of base stations on unmanned aerial platforms from the perspective of using radio resources", written by Piotr Jaworski under the supervision of prof. Adrian Kliks – an award

Master's thesis: "Comparison of the electrochemical activity of thermally modified starches of various origins with graphene nanoplates and graphene in a lithium-ion battery", written by Marita Pigłowska under the supervision of Beata Kurc, PhD – an award

Master's thesis entitled "Neural methods of explaining recommendation systems" written by Jakub Raczyński under the supervision of Mateusz Lango, PhD – a distinction

79 works were submitted to the 19th edition of the competition, including 37 master's theses and 42 doctoral theses. By decision of the Competition Jury, three equivalent financial awards and four equivalent financial distinctions were awarded in the category of doctoral theses, and three equivalent financial awards and three equivalent financial distinctions in the category of master's theses.

On behalf of the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology, the award ceremony was attended by prof. Agnieszka Misztal - Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education.
