Polish Academic Rowing Championships.
“There is no doubt that Bydgoszcz is considered a city of water sports. The best kayakers and rowers, including academic ones, visit the Brda River every year. And student rowing has once again come to Bydgoszcz, which has been organizing AMPs in this discipline for years. This year's edition again gathered a large group of rowing enthusiasts. Nearly 270 rowers representing 24 universities registered their participation in the AMP.
We are very proud to announce that the gold for the Poznan University of Technology won:
- "men's singles" - Patryk Wojtalak from the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications
- "lightweight double sculls" - Radosław Kmiecik from the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering and Michał Radoliński from the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications.
Remembering the stars of academic sports, memorial awards were also presented. The best athlete and the best athlete of the AMP 2024 in rowing in Bydgoszcz received the award of Roger Verey, the leading Polish athlete of the interwar period, multi-medalist of the European Championships, as well as multiple Polish champion of AZS Kraków in the years 1931-1939 and 1945-1949.
