Colloquium of Applied Mechanics Materials, Design and Biomedical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering - Colloquium of Applied Mechanics Materials, Design, and Biomedical Engineering was held in these areas, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology and BTU Cottbus Senftenberg. The event is a continuation of the intensive cooperation between German and Polish scientists.

As part of the Colloquium, the following papers were presented by doctoral students and academics from both universities:

  • Analysis and optimization of stress distribution in complex shell structures
  • Vibration Reduction of a Steam Turbine Wheel by Means of Intentional Mistuning
  • Application of shape memory alloys for retrofitting and strengthening masonry structures
  • Hybrid-electric propulsion systems for climate-neutral flying
  • Experimental determination and numerical simulation of the material and damage behaviour additively manufactured polyamide 12
  • Mathematical Modeling and Trajectory Optimization in Additive Manufacturing
  • Artificial Neural Networks in Biomechanics and Orthopedic Engineering
  • Automation of Design of Additively Manufactured Individualized Mechanical Prostheses
  • Kinematics, path biomechanics and pathologies of the shoulder and elbow joint
  • Perspectives on cooperation in orthopaedics and rehabilitation
  • 3D modelling and data segmentation in the craniofacial area
  • Bioengineering at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering PUT - research and didactic potential

The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology, prof. Olaf Ciszak, as the host of the event, presented the potential of the Faculty and the possibilities of cooperation in specific scientific areas.

BTU authorities participated in Colloquium: prof. Gesine Grande, Rector, prof. Michael Hübner, Vice-rector as well as the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology, prof. Teofil Jesionowski and prof.. Paweł Śniatała, Vice-rector for International Cooperation.
