The Scientific Award was granted by the 4th Division of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for a series of 18 monothematic works on the design of advanced systems for the removal of environmental micropollutants from water and sewage based on immobilized enzyme systems.

“This award is a great distinction and ennoblement for me, but also a clear signal that the subject of my research is up-to-date and needed. It is particularly important to me that the Award was granted by experts in technical sciences, which is significant for a researcher from a technical university" - says prof. Jakub Zdarta.

The PAN award was received on his behalf by his wife Agata.
