Less than a month ago, the fifth edition of the GHOST Day: Applied Machine Learning Conference 2024 - an event organised by the GHOST student research group, took place within the walls of Poznań University of Technology. Those two days touched on great number of issues in the machine learning field and were a fantastic conclusion of months of preparation.
Among these year’s speakers were wonderful researchers like Michal Valko (Meta), Hamed Valizadegan (NASA), Björn Schuller (Technical University of Munich), Gabriella Pasi (University of Milano-Bicocca) and Laura Bonavera (University of Oviedo). One part of the event also included a panel discussion during which prof. Jerzy Stefanowski, att. Robert Kroplewski and prof. Włodzisław Duch shared important insights into the future of AI.
Reaching such a broad audience of machine learning enthusiasts and subsequently gathering them all was certainly not easy, but eventually it provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to thank everyone who was part of this year’s edition of GHOST Day: AMLC. To the speakers for their willingness to share knowledge, to the sponsors and media partners for helping to realise the event, and also to the volunteers and organisers for their commitment and countless hours spent on perfecting every detail.
See you at GHOST DAY: AMLC 2025!
