The subject of the events organized as part of the project will focus on the knowledge and experience needed to overcome the effects of war, as well as on the problems of sustainable development in terms of social life, environment, etc. in post-war time.
The team of the Poznan University of Technology, consisted of:
- dr inż. Marlena Kucz, prof. PUP, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Transport
- Magdalena Zawirska-Wolniewicz, MA, Head of the International Relations Office
- Olha Vakhrina, a specialist of the International Relations Office,
will be responsible for organizing an international conference for students entitled “Challenges of Sustainable Development in the Baltic Sea Region because of the war in Ukraine”. The conference will be organized on the basis of Poznań University of Technology in spring 2024.
From the very beginning of the war, the Poznan University of Technology systematically and successively helped students and scientists from Ukraine. Participation in this project is a logical continuation of our activities. We believe that by participating in international events within the project, lecturers and students from Ukraine will establish contacts for cooperation with universities from the Baltic Sea region and prepare for active participation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
