On August 28-31, the 2nd French-Polish Chemistry Congress was held in Montpellier (France), co-organized by the Poznan University of Technology. In addition to representatives of the Poznan University of Technology, scientists from, among others, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, the Jagiellonian University and Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier were involved in the organization of the Congress.
The aim of the Congress is to popularize the achievements of Polish and French research teams in the broadly understood field of chemistry and related sciences. Particular attention was paid to supramolecular, organic, (photo)catalytic and biochemical chemistry, which is currently the basis for many directions of modern research leading to the creation of new, functional (nano)materials, catalysts, etc.
The Scientific Committee of the Congress included the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, while the Organizing Committee was composed of prof. Lukasz Klapiszewski.
