PRESTIGIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COMPUTING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE STUDENTS

Three students of the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications were winners of the Scholarship programme “New Technologies for Girls”. The awards were presented during the official Inauguration Gala.

The programme is the answer to a small number of women actively working in the field of new technologies. Intel company, which contributes to the future of new technologies together with the Perspektywy Education Foundation, which has been promoting education in Poland, joined forces and offered a unique scholarship programme for young women. This pioneering initiative on the Polish market is to encourage young women to become interested in new technologies and to choose a career path related to them. The winners of the Intel-Perspektywy programme - 25 young women from all over Poland (selected from a group of 850 applicants) - will be under the care of a Mentor, selected from experienced Intel employees. The winners will receive a scholarship of PLN 12,000. They will also get the invitation to participate in an internship program at Intel Technology Poland in Gdansk, the largest Intel R&D centre in Europe.
