On May 20, 2024, at the Staszic Palace in Warsaw, the first plenary meeting of the Machine Construction Committee of the Polish Academy of Science in its new composition for the 2024-2027 term was held.

Prof. Michał Wieczorowski was elected the vice-chairman of the Machine Construction Committee of the Polish Academy of Science 

The Poznan University of Technology was represented by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering: prof. Olaf Ciszak, prof. Michał Wieczorowski, prof. Stanisław Legutko and the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering by prof. Jerzy Merkisz.
