On Tuesday, May 28, during the celebration of the university's holiday, the award of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Opole University of Technology was awarded to prof. Stanisław Legutko from the Faculty of Mechanica Engineering.
Main research interests of prof. Stanisława Legutko is the technology and use of cutting tools, gear wheel technology, machine operation and industrial logistics. The most important research concerns the adhesive wear of cutting tool blades.
Recently, his scientific interests have focused on the operational and technological issues of cutting tools for high-speed cutting (HSC) and the shaping of gear teeth, computer-aided design of technological processes (CAPP) of cutting tools and machine parts, nanotechnology, rapid prototyping, rapid production of instrumentation and quick production implementation. He is the author or co-author of over 600 published scientific works, including 3 monographs, 3 books on technology and operation of machines, 3 textbooks and 3 scripts.
Professor Stanisław Legutko has been cooperating with the Opole University of Technology for over 40 years.
Prof. Stanisław Legutko is, above all, an authority in the scientific world, but he is also a person you can rely on, a loyal friend who has helped many people, including those from our university, in their development. He is a wonderful and cultured person.
