The National Science Centre announced the results of the OPUS 26 and SONATA 19 competitions. Research projects worth a total of PLN 693 million were awarded to 485 researchers - also from the Poznan University of Technology.
Funding in the OPUS 26 competition was awarded to:
- prof. Więcczycka, Faculty of Chemical Technology – New multifunctional liquid and porous materials for extraction-oxidative desulfurization of liquid fuels,
- prof. Dominik Belter, Faculty of Automation, Robotics and Electrical Engineering – Neural modeling of the environment and movement restrictions in robotic motion planning tasks,
- prof. Ph.D. engineer Jerzy Stefanowski, Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications – Methods of explaining machine learning models for static and variable data,
- prof. Wojciech Sumelka, Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering– Mathematical modeling, analysis of dynamic properties and production of bulk thermally sprayed ceramic-metal composite materials,
- prof. Mateusz Barczewski, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (project in partnership - leader: ZUT) – Development of a new approach to producing and compatibilisation polyester mixtures using hybrid organic-inorganic additives.
Funding in the SONATA 19 competition went to:
- Paweł Jeżowski, PhD,Faculty of Chemical Technology – From waste to carbon-based materials,
- Mariusz Sandomierski, PhD, Faculty of Chemical Technology – Controlled release of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) based on Carrier-Ion-API interactions,
- Tomasz Żok, PhD, Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications – Exploration of multiple loop motifs in RNA structures.
