The 8th Logistics Day at PUT

On March 15, the 8th Logistics Day was held at the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Poznan University of Technology, organized by the Logistics Scientific Club.

 

The main goal of the event was to promote the field of study at the faculty, as well as to expand students' knowledge in the field of logistics.

 

70 students from 4 different secondary schools with a logistics and general education profile participated in the event. Guests had the opportunity to participate in workshops prepared by students from the Logistics Scientific Club.

 

This year, students representing the following schools took part in the Logistics Day: 

  • Vocational School Complex No. 6 Joachim Lelewel in Poznan
  • School Complex No. 1 Greater Poland insurgents in Swarzedz
  • School Complex in Opalenica
  • Technical School Complex in Tarnów Podgórne

 

The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, prof. Agnieszka Misztal. Then the Director of the Institute of Logistics prof.Łukasz Hadaś presented information about studies in the field of Logistics, conducted at the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Poznan University of Technology. 

After the official opening, a short lecture titled: "Logistician - a person responsible for special tasks - competencies Logistics of tomorrow" was conducted by the Head of the Department of Production Management and Logistics, prof. Piotr Cyplik. 

In the next part of the Logistics Day, students participated in workshops. They were conducted in three sessions and raised many interesting issues, useful in the later stage of education of young logisticians.

During the workshops, students were assessed by the instructors. Prizes were provided for the most active and engaged participants.

 

At the end of the Logistics Day, a competition with prizes was held to test the new knowledge acquired during the event. Places on the podium were won by representatives of the Vocational School Complex No. 6 in Poznan:

  • 1st place: Wojciech Lejman 
  • 2nd place: Patrycja Michalak
  • 3rd place: Pablo Magdziarz
