THE EXHIBITION "POLISH-ESTONIAN RELATIONS 1918-1939 MEMORABILIA IN ESTONIAN ARCHIVES" OPENED AT THE WAWIZ BUILDING

The exhibition was prepared in 2018 as part of the celebration of the hundredth year of Poland regaining independence and the centenary of Estonia's independence. Two years later, the exhibition was supplemented with two charts dedicated to celebrating the centenary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Estonia.

As its creators wrote: "(...) we believe that reading valuable archival documents and photographs from the interwar period will allow the viewer to see the roots and perspectives of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in full light."

“Our cooperation, particularly in the field of education and science, is crucial. It is an honour for us to host such a special exhibition within the walls of the Poznan University of Technology,” said the rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski.

Miko Haljas, Estonia's ambassador to Poland, emphasized the close relations between the two countries. "The rise of Solidarity, the freedom movement, was a real inspiration for my nation," added the ambassador. The Estonian National Archives on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tallinn prepared the exhibition.
