On May 29, the Poznan University of Technology hosted the Rector of the Kharkov University of Technology - Mr. Yevhen Sokol. Long-term cooperation between the universities resulted in the extension of the contract.
During the visit, the possibility of conducting joint scientific research, new areas of cooperation and the exchange of students and employees were discussed.
At the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy, the guest was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Zbigniew Nadolny. As part of the meetings of individual units, prof. Andrzej Frąckowiak - Director of the Institute of Thermal Energy, prof. Michał Ciałkowski of the Division of Aeronautical Engineering, and prof. Rafał Ślefarski a head of the Division of Fuels and Renewable Energy, presented teaching laboratories, including a flight simulator.
The Rector also visited the laboratory of prof. Rafał Ślefarski, where he expressed great appreciation for the construction of many unique industrial sites by the Professor's team. The presentation of the laboratory jet engine, which has completed over 100 marathons, half-marathons and other races, was presented by Łukasz Semkło, PhD - head of the Division of Aeronautical Engineering, and technical specialist of the Institute of Thermal Energy Józef Mika. The guest's great interest was aroused by the presentation of the achievements of the PUTRocketlab scientific group headed by Bartosz Ziegler, PhD.
We hope that the visit will result in further activities between our universities.
