The Scientific Club of Public Transport Engineers' PUTrain project delegation had the privilege of attending the Railway Division Annual Luncheon, which brought together 1,200 representatives from Great Britain's railway industry. It was an amazing experience and the opportunity to talk to representatives of many sectors and entities responsible for the railway. The event was organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). The Chairman of the Railway Division, Andrew Skinner opened the meeting. He greeted the guests, presented the winning PUTrain locomotive of the Poznan University of Technology and welcomed our delegation. Jim Steer, a transport specialist and founder of Steer stressed the importance of the railway for Great Britain.
In June, the PUTrain team will compete again in the international Railway Challenge competition, fighting to defend the Grand Champion title.
