Welcome Point is a new support space dedicated to international students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and guests associated with Poznan University of Technology. It was created to help people arriving from other countries begin their studies, work, or stay at the University and support them in adapting to a new academic and cultural environment.
Why was Welcome Point created?
Poznan University of Technology has been developing international cooperation for many years and welcomes students and staff from all over the world. Currently, students from more than 80 countries study at the University, and the number of participants in international programmes continues to grow. However, surveys conducted among international students showed that many of them experience difficulties related to adaptation, administrative procedures, and everyday functioning on campus. In particular, students pointed to the lack of one central place where they could receive comprehensive support and information. In response to these needs, Welcome Point was established – a first point of contact designed to support the international community at PUT and help create an open, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere at the University.
