On October 29–30, 2024, the Lecture Center and Technical Library of Poznan University of Technology (PUT) hosted the latest edition of the Student Organizations and Scientific Clubs Days.
During the two-day event, students had the opportunity to explore projects, research, and innovations presented by various student organizations and scientific circles. Participants showcased prototypes, research results, posters, and other activities, representing all nine faculties of the university, ensuring that every attendee could find something of interest.
To enhance the experience and foster interaction with senior peers, a prize competition was organized. Participants who quickly completed the prepared puzzle were rewarded with exciting gadgets bearing the PUT logo. The highlight of the event, however, was the competition for the Rector's Cup. Last year's winners, the Bioinformatics Scientific Club, ceremoniously handed over the trophy to this year's champions.
The contest included three challenges:
- Challenge 1:Building a tower using paper cups. Patience, precision, and nerves of steel were crucial to keep the 9-cup base tower standing.
- Challenge 2:A nostalgic twist on the classic game Memory, featuring the logos of all PUT faculties. The intense focus of the participants was a sight to behold.
- Challenge 3:The most challenging task: identifying as many members of the PUT Senate (2024–2028 term) as possible from photographs.
Competition was fierce until the very end, with the Rozeta Scientific Club from the Faculty of Architecture emerging victorious and claiming the Rector’s Cup. Congratulations to the winners!
- Second place: The Aviation Safety and Management Scientific Club.
- Third place: The IAESTE Student Organization.
The awards were personally presented by Agnieszka Misztal, PhD -Rector for Student Affairs and Education.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants and look forward to welcoming you to next year’s edition. See you there!
