Grades and results are converted into points during the admissions process using ranking formulas.
The following subjects are taken into account:
- mathematics
- a foreign language (e.g. English)
- native tongue
- one science subject, depending on the chosen field of study: biology / chemistry / physics / computer science / geography, or the result of a vocational examination, or sporting achievements (the result most favourable to the candidate is taken into account)
To estimate the number of points that can be obtained in the admissions process, you can use the calculator.
In the recruitment process for candidates from Ukraine, we take into account the grades from the school leaving certificate (Свідоцтво про здобуття повної загальної середньої освіти) and the results of the external exams NMT (Національний мультипредметний тест), formerly known as ZNO (Зовнішнє незалежне оцінювання).
1. Grades from your school leaving certificate should be entered into the admissions calculator as ‘basic level’.
You can enter numbers from 0 to 100 into the calculator.
How are grades converted?
- the highest grade 12 = 100 points
- other grades are converted proportionally on a scale of 0–100, e.g. 11 = 92 points, 10 = 83 points
2. Enter your NMT results into the calculator as an advanced level.
How do we convert the results?
- subtract 100 points from the exam result
- enter the result obtained into the calculator
Przykład:
- if the NMT result for mathematics is 160, then 160 − 100 = 60. Enter 60 into the calculator.
3. Languages
- instead of Polish, enter your grade for the Ukrainian language into the calculator
- English is most commonly chosen as a foreign language. If the candidate does not have a score for English, they may select another foreign language
4. Artistic aptitude
Candidates applying for the following courses: Architecture, Interior Design, and Architecture are required to upload a portfolio to the admissions system. The portfolio is assessed by the Recruitment Committee, and the mark awarded is then entered into the recruitment system and shared with the candidate.
5. Vocational examinations and achievements in sport
Candidates who have passed a vocational examination (upon completion of a technical college) may have their results taken into account if such results are more favourable to them than the grade on their school certificate or the National Matriculation Examination (NMT).
Achievements in sport may be taken into account if they are confirmed by a certificate from the relevant Polish sports association.
