Scientists from Poznan University of Technology awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences

Dr. Agata Zdarta,  PhD from the Faculty of Chemical Technology, was awarded by Poznan Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the best original creative work of a doctoral student for 2020 in the field of exact sciences and earth sciences. In turn, Dr. Michał Tomczyk, PhD from the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications received an award in the field of technical sciences.

The article by Dr. Agaty Zdarty, PhD, Eng. "Multilevel changes in bacterial properties on long-term exposure to hydrocarbons and impact of these cells on fresh-water communities", was published in the journal Science of the Total Environment.

It describes the multi-level adaptive changes occurring as a result of long-term exposure of bacterial cells to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons and diesel oil.
