The National Science Center has announced the results of the 5th edition of the PRELUDIUM BIS competition for research projects carried out by doctoral students at doctoral schools. The projects qualified for funding in the life sciences group include the project "The role of microplastic pollution in the biosphere - sorption, desorption and ecotoxicity", headed by prof. Ewa Kaczorek from the Faculty of Chemical Technology.
The aim of the project is to describe the role of microplastics as a carrier of antibiotic contaminants in the environment and to determine the interactions between microplastic-related contaminants and environmental microorganisms.
According to the assumptions of the competition, the project will be implemented by a doctoral student selected in an open competition as part of the prepared doctoral dissertation.
Congratulations!
