Studying the second-cycle degree programme of COMPUTING will let you become a specialist in the field of IT who is able to independently solve IT problems, analyze a research problem and review and critically evaluate existing solutions, select appropriate tools and methods for the implementation of defined tasks, as well as play key roles in projects.

During the second-cycle degree programme in COMPUTING conducted in English, you will deepen your knowledge and acquire new skills, specializing in software engineering or cybersecurity.

Specjalności

Cybersecurity - this specialization was created in response to the demand for security specialists. Students will have subjects such as: general introduction to cybersecurity issues (developed in detail in subsequent courses); cryptography and cryptanalysis; advanced security of information systems; theoretical and practical functional security; network security, including wireless network security, software-defined network security; application security development, testing and evaluation; Internet of Things security; security of Big Data analyses, security breaches in the Cloud and Data Centres. They will also learn about issues related to the latest trends and new technologies, such as Blockchain and quantum computing;

Software Engineering – this programme is designed in such a way as to provide graduates with the indispensable foundations to perform three important roles in IT projects: project manager – project management methodology, risk management, planning (estimating the size and work intensity of software development); analyst – business process modelling, specifying requirements for IT systems and preparing acceptance tests; architect, senior software developer – designing object-oriented systems, creating and assessing software architecture and software testing.
