Step-by-Step Procedure for International Student Recruitment

STEP 1 – Familiarize yourself with:

STEP 2 – Registration in the recruitment system

  1. Register in the recruitment system.
  2. Fill out the application and upload a recent photo that meets the requirements applied for ID cards.
  3. Upload the required documents:

    - The list of documents differs depending on whether you are applying for Bachelor’s (1st cycle) or Master’s (2nd cycle) studies.

    - Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  4. Set your preferred order of study programs:

    - A candidate can be qualified for only one program – the one at the top of their individual preference list.

    - Pay attention to the language in which the program is conducted.

STEP 3 – Payment of the recruitment fee

  • With one payment, you can choose up to three study programs.

  • Each candidate is assigned an individual bank account number to make the payment, regardless of the number of programs selected.

  • For programs with different fees, pay the higher fee.

  • The payment is non-refundable.


STEP 4 – Document evaluation

The Admission Committee evaluates the candidate's documents.

Bachelor’s studies (1st cycle): grades from the school-leaving certificate and the results of the central exam are considered.

  • If the document corresponds to the Polish Matura certificate and the exam level is not specified, the result is treated as equivalent to the basic level of the Polish Matura exam.

  • In countries where external exams are possible, such exam results may be considered equivalent to the extended level of the Polish Matura exam.

  • After reviewing the documents, the candidate is directed to an online exam.

Master’s studies (2nd cycle): after reviewing documents, the candidate is directed to a qualifying interview or test to verify the required learning outcomes.

  • For all programs except Computer Science, Computer Science/Computing, and Artificial Intelligence, interviews and tests are conducted online.


STEP 5 – Notification of qualification

  • The candidate receives information about being qualified via the recruitment system.

  • Within three weeks of receiving the notification, the candidate must either:

    • pay the tuition fee, or

    • submit a request for a fee exemption.


STEP 6 – Admission to studies

  • After paying the fee or submitting documents exempting from the fee, the candidate is officially admitted to studies.

  • The candidate receives a full set of documents necessary to apply for a visa.


STEP 7 – Submission of original documents

  • Upon arrival in Poland, the candidate must immediately submit original admission documents to the International Relations Office.
  • Documents are submitted at the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering building, ul. Piotrowo 5, room 101, Poznań.

Important Information

  • A candidate can be admitted to only one program, but may indicate up to three programs, ranking them in order of preference.

  • Qualification is based on the declared preferences.

  • At Poznan University of Technology, programs are offered in both full-time and part-time modes.

    • Part-time classes take place on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
